7TP NAME HISTORY:

7 Thrasher Place is the physical address of our founder/designer’s grandfather, reimagined as a cabin by the sea, filled with all the things in the dark recesses of our collective imagination.

Our Story 

7 Thrasher Place was founded on a career of apparel design working experience & big brand intel. 

East coast bred from a Portuguese fisherman & secretary, Nicky moved as a wee lad to the clothing industry territory of SoCal. Oddly through the surfing world with no formal training & a short stint on the brand side, he found his lane in textile surface art. For 30 years he had access to smart design rooms with major players consulting on color, print & pattern as a studio design vendor. He listened.

A few clients (of about 40 brands per season) include Todd Snyder, Woolrich, Nike, Speedo, Ted Baker London, The Gap, Walmart, Perry Ellis, Asics, Vuori, Athleta, Fabletics, New Balance, Roxy & Quiksilver Europe, J McLaughlin, RVCA & scores more.

On a side project, he learned knits from factory owner & master Mr Kong. He learned the proper way to manufacture. The finer workings of freelance projects to follow revealed Japanese fabrics as the best. 

Category expansion inevitable with passion projects in scent, leather, outerwear & jewelry.

Emboldened with the rebellious thought of “this is how I’d do it” paired with an enlivened spirit, this brand exists out of sheer will to share & empower.
